The MLB schedule this year certainly appears to be accomplishing one of its goals of providing players with a bit more in-season respite than they’ve grown accustomed to seeing in previous years. And so, once again, we have a week where the Reds go from Sunday to Friday playing precisely one night game, with a pair of off-days and two day games mixed in.
Tonight, Tuesday, is our lone night game until Friday, as the Cincinnati Reds will take on the Cleveland Indians under the lights by the lake. It’ll be a pretty star-studded pitching matchup, too, as Luis Castillo and Trevor Bauer will toe the rubber for their respective squads.
There’s the DH in lineups today and tomorrow, too, so the already short Cincinnati bench will be even shorter while the lineup will pack as much initial punch as possible.
First pitch this evening is set for 7:10 PM ET.
