Scott Moss has started to turn his season around. He lowered his ERA to below 4.00 on Monday night. He pitched six shutout innings while not giving up a hit on four walks and striking out ten. Joel “Sofa King” Kuhnel struck out two in 1.2 scoreless. Gavin “Thick” LaValley went 1 for 2 with a RBI and a walk, and Taylor Trammell went 1 for 2 with a walk as well.
The Lookouts play at 7:15 PM ET.
Daytona Tortugas 10, Palm Beach Cardinals 13
Michael “Crotch” Byrne gave up nine earned runs over three innings so let’s just skip he rest of that. Jesse “Clutch” Stallings stopped the bleeding by striking out two in two perfect innings, and Ryan “Busta” Nutof struck out one in a scoreless frame. Marc “YOLO” Kolozsvary went 2 for 5 with a dinger and 3 RBI. Jose “Cherry” Garcia went 2 for 5 with a walk and a run scored, and Lorenzo “Crayola” Cedrola went 2 for 5 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs scored. There were a lot of hits in this one but those were the big winners.
Daytona plays at 7:05 PM ET.
Dayton Dragons 5, Clinton LumberKings 4
Lyon “Heart” Richardson continues to show improvements. He gave up no earned runs (one total) over six innings on two hits, three walks, and three strikeouts. Julio “Little” Pinto struck out three in 1.1 scoreless innings. He did allow an inherited runner to score but also picked up the win. Morgan “Bread” Lofstrom knocked a solo dinger and so did Mariel Bautista and Carlos “Windy” Rivero. However, the big blow came from the minor leagues three outcome champ. Bren Spillane went 2 for 3 with a two run dinger to take the lead in the 8th and a walk. He’s having a horrible season but that’s cool.
Jared Solomon will pitch at 7:00 PM ET.
