Phil Ervin crushed a pair of homers for AAA Louisville, driving in 4 in his 2 for 4 day.

Meanwhile, TJ Friedl had 5 hits and a dinger in AA Chattanooga’s doubleheader action.

Louisville 8, Durham 2

Phlerv’s stint back in AAA hasn’t exactly been a pretty one, but he bucked that with a big outing against Durham on Wednesday. His pair of homers led an offense that also got a blast apiece from Rob Refsnyder and Aristides Aquino. Meanwhile, the red-hot Brian “Beef” O’Grady only chipped in with a 2 for 5 day, a double, and a pair of runs scored. Jackson Stephens picked up the win after firing 2.2 scoreless IP in what was pretty much a bullpen game.

The Bats will play Durham again tonight at 7:05 PM ET, but they’ve not yet listed their starter.

Chattanooga 4, Jackson 3 (F/7)

The Lookouts picked up a win in half of their doubleheader on Wednesday, with Tejay “and Terry and Tommy and Timmy” Antone firing 6 innings of 8 H, 3 ER, 0 BB, 3 K ball. TJ Friedl had a monster day at the plate, going 4 for 4 with a dinger, double, and a pair of runs scored, while Jose “Que Sera” Siri chipped in with a big 2-RBI double. Gavin LaValley bonked a dinger of his own, too.

Jackson 4, Chattanooga 0 (F/7)

Things didn’t go quite as swimmingly for Chattanooga in the other half of their doubleheader, unfortunately. The mustered just 3 hits in total - all singles - though TJ “Antone” Friedl did manage to swipe a bag after his. They also failed to take a single walk.

Packy Naughton will be on the mound against Jackson on Thursday evening for his second AA start since being called up. First pitch is set for 7:05 PM ET.

Daytona 5, Palm Beach 0

The Tugas got a big fly from the red-hot Stuart “State” Fairchild, who has posted a ridiculous 1.020 OPS in the month of May after a brutal April. Speaking of red hot, Jonathan India had another 2-hit afternoon, as did outfielder Drew “Dis” Mount. That was plenty good enough to back another solid outing from Reiver Sanmartin, who tossed 6 innings of 5 H, 0 BB, 3 K ball.

Ryan “Always” Lillie will toe the rubber for Daytona when their Thursday game begins at 6:30 PM ET.

Lansing 3, Dayton 1

The Dragons slipped to an abysmal 16-37 on the season with this Lugnutting. Morgan “Launch angle is basically just hitting with more” Lofstrom tripled from the catcher position for the team’s only XBH of the day, which is saying something. Carlos Machorro did fire an impressive 2.2 scoreless IP from the bullpen, for what it’s worth.

Jhon De Jesus will start for Dayton on Thursday when these two tussle again beginning at 7:00 PM ET.
