Keury “Hella” Mella had another rough outing on the mound Thursday night, giving up 5 runs on 5 hits with 3 walks and 5 strikeouts over 5 innings of work in a 5-3 loss. Cody Reed threw another scoreless inning in relief. Brian “Beef” O’Grady hit his 3rd dinger in 4 games as part of a 2 for 4, 2 RBI night. Rob Refsnyder also hit a solo home run and Kyle “O” Wren went 2 for 4

Chattanooga Lookouts 2, Birmingham Barons 4
Jordan “Michael Magic” Johnson got the start and gave up 4 runs on 4 hits with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts over 6 innings of work. Alex “Danger” Powers struck out 2 in a scoreless relief inning. Taylor Trammell went 0 for 1 but walked twice and drove in a run and Jose “Ask” Siri went 1 for 4 with a double, a walk, and 1 RBI.

Daytona Tortugas 2, Dunedin Blue Jays 6
It was not a great day on the field for the Reds’ organization yesterday, as Daytona continued the losing with a 6-2 loss to Dunedin. Ryan Lillie went 3.2 innings in his start, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits with no walks and 3 strikeouts. Ryan “Busta” Nutof struck out 3 in 1.1 scoreless innings. There wasn’t much to write home about offensively. Andy Sugilio went 2 for 3 with a run scored and a RBI and Randy “Savage” Ventura went 1 for 2 and drove in a run.
Dayton Dragons 3, Peoria Chiefs 4
Dayton gave up runs in the 9th and 10th to fall 4-3 to Peoria last night. These are some fun times. Jared “Song of” Solomon had a solid start, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts over 5 innings. Juan Martinez went 1 for 3 with a double, a walk, and a RBI. and Reniel Ozuna went 2 for 4.
