Farmers Only: Reiver Sanmartin Might Be Really Good.

Which would be... good.

Brandon Larson Honorary Star of the Night - Reiver Sanmartin - 8 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 9 K

Louisville Bats 7, Indianapolis Indians 8

Jose “Porky” Lopez got roughed up big time. He gave up eight earned runs over five innings on six hits, three walks, and two strikeouts. But, hold on, the bullpen really did some things afterwards. Four shutout innings were pitched by “Slippery” Sal Romano, Alex “International Man of Mystery” Powers (2 K), Ian Krol, and Cody “Rec Spec” Reed (1 K). Brian “Where’s The Beef” O’Grady went 2 for 4 with a two run ding dong and a walk. It’s his twelfth homer of the year. Both Rob “Big Bob” Refsnyder and Juan “Gatorade” Graterol both went 2 for 4 while knocking in two runs of their own. Refsnyder also hit a double.

The Bats play at 7:00 PM ET.

Chattanooga Lookouts 7, Birmingham Barons 3

Tejay “Bejay” Antone was pretty dang good. He did give up three runs (two earned) over six innings on five hits, no walks, while striking out seven. Cory Thompson struck out two while not allowing a run, and Juan Martinez did the same in two innings while striking out four. Ibandel “Big Strong” Isabel donged a dinger, his 11th of the season, a two run shot after Taylor Trammell smartly walked in front of him. Speaking of the latter, Trammell went 1 for 2 with three walks and two steals. Alfredo “PastaRod” Rodriguez went 2 for 4, Mitch “Say Hay” Nay went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBI, and Calten “Big” Daal “Sheep” went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI. Tyler Stephenson walked and doubled.

The Lookouts play at 7:15 PM ET.

Daytona Tortugas 0, Fort Myers Miracle 3

Reiver “River” Sanmartin pitched a shutout through the eighth inning. He allowed only two hits and a walk in those eight innings while striking out nine. The bullpen though. Nothing of note on the offense. It was bad.

Daytona plays at 7:05 PM ET.

Dayton Dragons 0, Lake County Captains 8

Fecking gross. The defense was real bad with three errors. Connor “Canadian” Curlis gave up two earned runs over four innings on four hits, two walks, while striking out seven. Matt Pidich would pidich three innings of relief but was also let down by the defense. He gave up three unearned runs but only allowed two hits and a walk while striking out four in those three innings. Miguel Hernandez went 2 for 4.

Andy Salinas pitches at 7:35 PM ET.
