Keury Mella was bad. He pitched five innings with four earned runs given up. This happened on six hits, two walks, and four strikeouts. Jesus “Saves” Reyes struck out two in two scoreless, Matt “Long” Bowman had one clean inning, Cody Reed struck out one in scoreless inning. Rob Refsnyder went 2 for 5 with two RBI and a run scored. Scott Schebler went 2 for 4 with a walk. Juan Graterol went 2 for 4 with a run scored.

Tony “The Tiger” Santillan was pretty pretty good. He pitched 5.1 scoreless innings on three hits, three walks, and six strikeouts. Juan Martinez delivered 2.2 shutout innings of relief (2 K) and Austin “Light Tower” Powers struck out the side in the 9th. Ibandel Isabel knocked a 2-run dong blast. Brantley “Ring My” Bell went 2 for 4 with a RBI and a run scored.

Daytona Tortugas 0, Clearwater Threshers 1
Austin “1984” Orewiler pitched five innings of two run balls (only one earned) on four hits, no walks, and a strikeout. “Yo” Adrian Rodriguez struck out one in two innings of relief, and Julio “Little” Pinto struck out three in his two innings of shutout relief. The one run scored on Marc Kolozsvary knocking a solo dinger.

The only pitcher worth a damn was Moises “Super” Nova who struck out four in three shutout innings of relief to end this one. Juan Martinez went 2 for 4, and Miguel Hernandez went 2 for 5

James “Sauce” Marinan put on his big boy pants to carry the Dragons through this one. He did give up three runs (only one earned) over seven innings. He allowed four hits, three walks, while striking out two. Morgan “Bread” Lofstrom went 3 for 4 with a dinger and four RBI. Brian “Say Hey” Rey went 2 for 4 with a double.
