The Lookouts’ pitching shut down Biloxi in a 4-0 win last night. Tony “Santigold” Santillan got it started by throwing 5.1 innings, allowing 3 hits and 3 walks with 6 strikeouts. Alex “Danger” Powers struck out all 3 batters he faced. Ibandel Isabel had a very Ibandel Isabel game, going 1 for 4 with a 2-run dinger while also striking out 3 times. Brantly “Ring My” Bell went 2 for 4 and drove in a run and Tony Santillan helped his cause by also driving in a run.

Packy “Wacky” Naughton got the start for Daytona in game 1 of their double-header and pitched well. He gave up 3 runs on 4 hits with no walks and 5 strikeouts in 6 innings of work. He was bitten by the long ball, as 2 of his 3 earned runs were on solo home runs. Stuart “Sweet” Fairchild “Of Mine” went 3 for 3 with a double and a solo homer. Hendrik Clementina hit another home run in a 1 for 3 night.
Daytona let a late 3-run lead slip away in their game 2 loss. Wendolyn Bautista started and pitched well, allowing 1 run on 5 hits with no walks and 6 strikeouts in 4 innings of relief. Stuart Fairchild went 1 for 1 with a double and 2 walks and Jose Garcia went 3 for 4 with a double and a 2-run blast.

Dayton somehow managed to hold Lake County to 3 runs, as they allowed 12 hits on the night in a 3-2 loss. Jhon De Jesus started and allowed 2 runs on 7 hits with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work. Pabel Manzanero went 3 for 4 with a RBI and Reniel Ozuna went 1 for 3 and scored a run.
