Phil Ervin - 4-4, 3 RBI, 1 BB

Louisville Bats 5, Syracuse Mets 6

Vlad “The Impaler” Gutierrez started this one and looked pretty good, pitching 6 innings, working around 5 hits with only 2 ER, walking only 1 and striking out 7. The rest of his pitching mates didn’t fair as well. Jesus “Walks” Reyes blew the save in 0.2 IP, Cody Reed only managed an out (with a strikeout) while walking 1 and allowing a run. “Sloppy” Sal Romano allowed 2 earned off 3 htis, striking out 1. Jimmy “Drinks to” Herget allowed a hit and a walk, but nothing else in 1 IP.

Phil Ervin managed a 4-4 night with 3 RBI and a walk, while Juan “Stay Hydrated” Graterol had a double and a single. Nick Longhi knocked 3 singles with an RBI. Brian “Beef” O’Grady knocked 2 hits, scored 2 runs and walked.

Scott Schebler went 0-4 with 2 K. Yikes.

Chattanooga Lookouts 5, Tennessee Smokies 1

The Lookouts only allowed 1 hit and 1 run to the Smokies, a Joel “Sofa King” Kuhnel allowed tater in the 7th. Tejay “Tee-Jay” Antone “Tony Toni” started, went 6 and struck out 4. Alex “Horse” Powers walked and struck out 1 in an inning.

Jose Siri doubled and singled for the Lookouts, walking once and scoring 2 runs. TJ Friedl “Dee” doubled twice, walked once, scored 2 runs and batted in a run. Tyler Stephenson batted in two on his hit.

Daytona Tortugas 7, Lakeland Flying Tigers 1

Packy “Wacky” Naughton was on it again tonight, going 6.2 IP for the Tugas tonight. He allowed 6 hits, but only 1 ER and 1 BB, striking out 7. Dauri “Death” Moreta struck out a batter for his only out pitched, while Jesse Stallings struck out 2 in 2 IP.

No one for Daytona managed more than 1 hit, but they played some Dinger Derby. The biggest of which game from Stu “Little” Fairchild, which was a Grand Slam with 2 out. Yonathan “Soft J” Mendoza hit a dinger, as well as Jose Garcia. Drew “Rick” Mount doubled.

Dayton Dragons 0, Burlington Bees 7

Jhon De Jesus this one for the Dragons, technically, I guess? He got an out, so that’s.. something. He allowed 3 hits and 3 earned runs to go with 2 walks. Andy “Dr.” Cox followed with 2.2 IP, with 4 K and 2 BB, allowing no runs. Matt “Quid” Pidich followed with 3 innings where he allowed a run per inning, but did strike out 7. Eddie Demurias finished the final 3 innings, allowing no earned runs while striking out 5.

The Dragons managed 1 hit in 9 innings. It came off the bat of Miguel “Cairo Ramon” Hernandez. Cool.
