Reds at Pirates, Game 4 - Preview and Lineups

Can the Reds score runs in multiple games in a row?

It’s getaway day for the Reds, so it’s getaway day at Red Reporter too. You’re stuck with me for the preview today.

The Reds will try to break their 7 (SEVEN!) game losing streak today. The Reds have still not scored runs in multiple games in a row, so hopefully they’ll be able to make that leap today. Baby steps and all that.

The Reds have Anthony DeSclafani on the mound today, making his second start of the season. His first one went well, only allowing 1 run in 5 innings of work with 8 strikeouts. If they can get that from him again today, I think they’d take that.

They’ll face Chris Archer for the Buccos, who they somehow ducked all of last season. He’s never faced the Reds. Unfortunately for the Reds, he didn’t give up any runs in his last start, so hopefully the Reds can get to him early and often.

Joey Votto gets the day off today, which shouldn’t help the Reds’ cause, but Derek Dietrich getting ABs can’t hurt. Winker gets the start in LF at the top of the order.
