Farmers Only: It’s A Long, Lonely Road

Especially when you don’t win any damn games!

Welcome back nicknames and baseball. We missed you!

Brandon Larson Honorary Star Of The Night

Reiver Sanmartin - 6 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 6 K

Reiver got his first taste of pitching for the good guys since his trade from the Yankees, and I’d say it went pretty well.

Louisville Bats 5, Toledo MudHens 10

Odrisamer “Poppin’ Bottles Of” Despaigne took the start and pitched 5 innings of 3 earned runs baseball. He allowed a total of 4 hits, 2 walks, and 5 strikeouts. The bullpen, as you could guess, did not do well. Sherman “Tank” Johnson went 1 for 3 with a run scored, a RBI, and a stolen base and Christian “Semi” Colon did the same but with two steals. Juan “Hater-aid” Graterol went 2 for 3 with a RBI, run scored, and two walks. Josh “Park The” VanMeter was 2 for 5 with a run scored.

Lucas Sims gets the start at 7:05 PM ET.

Chattanooga Lookouts 3, Montgomery Biscuits 6

Tejay “TJ” Antone could have had a better evening. He gave up 3 earned runs over 5.2 innings on 4 hits, 4 walks, and 5 strikeouts. Victor “Pay Pal” Payano (1 K), Ryan “Guitar Solo” Hendrix (0 K), and Aaron Fossas “Bear” (2 K) all pitched scoreless innings out of the pen. So, there’s one guy on the team that is pretty dang cool. His name is Taylor Trammel. He walked three times. No biggie. TJ “Of The Hill” Friedl went 2 for 5 with a triple and a RBI. Brantley “Liberty” Bell went 2 for 4 with a double.

The Lookouts will play at 7:15 PM ET.

Dayton Tortugas 1, Florida Fire Frogs 5

Reiver “ReLiver” Sanmarin, whom you may remember was the other part of the return with Sonny Gray, had a freaking dang ‘ol good 2019 debut. He pitched 6 shutout innings of 2 hit, 0 walk, and 6 strikeout ball. That’ll freaking do. Corey Thompson gave up an unearned run in 1.2 innings with 2 strikeouts. Alejo “Aloha” Lopez went 2 for 3 with 2 walks. Jonathon “Bollywood” India was 1 for 4 with a walk.

Tortugas play at 7:05 PM ET.

Dayton Dragons 2, Bowling Green Massacres 3

Jared “Temple Of” Solomon didn’t have it. He gave up 3 earned runs over 4 innings pitched on 6 hits, 4 walks, and 2 strikeouts. Ryan “Soup” Campbell (3 K), Julio Pinto “Bean” (2 K), and Connor “Benny” Bennett (2 K) all had scoreless appearances from the pen. Campbell pitched three scoreless. Mariel Bautista was 2 for 4 with a RBI, and Miguel “Miggy” Hernandez was 2 for 4 with a double.

Former 3rd round pick, Jacob Heatherly, will be on the mound at 7:00 PM ET.
