Rain spoils a potential Louisville comeback.

Rob Refsnyder - 3 for 4, HR, 3 RBI.

Louisville Bats 5, Columbus Clippers 8 (F/8)

This game ended after the 8th inning, which was after the Bats scored eight innings, so I’m guessing there was some rain. Seems strange to me that they wouldn’t just suspend the game. Oh well. Jose “Porky” Lopez got shelled in this one giving up three homers. His final line was 4 IP, 5 ER, 0 BB, 6 K, 3 HR. Matt “Archer” Bowman struck out one in a scoreless inning of relief, and Anthony “Lance” Bass did the same with two strikeouts. Aristides ‘Heiress Titties” Aquino went 3 for 4 with a dinger and a RBI, and Rob “Rooflesnoogin” Refsnyder went 3 for 4 with a 3-run dinger. Phil “Phlervin” Ervin went 2 for 4 with a run scored.

Odrisamer Despaigne will pitch at 7:15 PM ET.

Chattanooga Lookouts 3, Mississippi Braves 5

Tony “Santigold” Santillan was once again wild but kept the runs off the board. Santillan walked five over 5.2 innings. He gave up two earned runs on four hits and struck out five. The walks so far are concerning but Santillan is still striking fools out and not giving up a bunch of runs. Victor “Vector” Payano pitched 1.1 scoreless out of the pen. Brantley “Ring My” Bell hit a 2-run dinger. Alfredo Rodriguez continues to hit the ball. He went 2 for 4 with a double. Tyler Stephenson also hit a double on a 2 for 4 night with a RBI and a run scored. He’s had a slow start to the season so it would be nice to see him turn it around.

Chattanooga plays at 7:15 PM ET.

Daytona Tortugas 7, Florida Fire Frogs 2

Michael “Deep” Byrne continues to put up some sweet peripherals while lowering his ERA. He pitched 4 innings and gave up only an earned run. He allowed three hits, two walks, while striking out seven. Mac “N’ Cheese” Sceroler pitched two scoreless innings out of the pen with a strikeout, Aneurys Zabala pitched two scoreless, and Ryan ”Busta” Nutof also pitched a shutout inning with a strikeout. Jonathan “Bengal” India went 2 for 4 with a walk and two runs scored. Alejo “Hello” Lopez went 1 for 5 with a double and 4 RBI. Lorenzo Cedrola went 2 for 3 with a steal and a walk.

Reiver Sanmartin starts at 6:00 PM ET.

Dayton Dragons 4, Lansing Lugnuts 12

Lyon “BAD” Richardson was BAD. He allowed six earned runs over 3.1 innings on 10 hits, no walks, while striking out two. I guess if there’s a silver lining its that he didn’t walk anyone. The pitching overall was just sucky. Mariel “Mario” Bautista went 3 for 4 with a solo homer, 2 RBI, and a walk. Jonathan “Groundskeeper” Willems went 2 for 4 with a run scored.

Jared Solomon pitches at 6:05 PM ET.
