Brandon Larson Honorary Star Of The Night
Jacob Heatherly - 5 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 5 K
The young guy finally has a game where he puts it all together. He’s had a rough go of it since being drafted so this is real nice.
Louisville Bats 3, Columbus Clippers 4
Lucas Sims “Ville” was freaking nasty on Monday. He struck out ten in six innings while giving up three earned on six hits and only one walk. Kyle “Bird” Wren singled, walked, stole a base, and scored a run. The rest of the hits were scattered and the batting lines are boring.
Louisville play at 7:00 PM ET.
Chattanooga Lookouts 4, Mississippi Braves 13
Oh, God. Jordan Johnson gave up six earned runs over 4.1 innings. He walked 3, struck out 5, and gave up 4 hits. The bullpen was absolutely awful. Trammel went 1 for 3 with a RBI, run scored, and a walk. Alfredo Rodriguez was 1 for 3 with a walk and a run scored.
Chattanooga plays at 7:15 PM ET.
Daytona Tortugas 3, Jupiter Hammerheads 4
Ryan “Pretty Flower” Lillie was nails on Monday as well. He did give up three earned but only one was earned. He allowed six hits, one walk, while striking out five over six innings. Aneurys “Silent Killer” Zabala struck out two in two scoreless innings. Wendolyn Bautista got a hard luck loss when giving up an unearned run in the 10th. He did walk two while giving up a hit so maybe it wasn’t that hard luck. Bruce “Yeti” Yari went 3 for 4 with a stolen base and a run scored. Stuart Fairchild knocked in a run and walked.
Packy Naughton is on the mound at 6:30 PM ET.
Dayton Dragons 4, Fort Wayne TinCaps 0
Jacob “So Fine” Heatherly did something I don’t think I’ve seen from him since he was drafted. He was absolutely dominant. He struck out five runners over five shutout innings. He allowed only two hits and walked none in his start. Heck yeah. Ryan “Soup” Campbell struck out three in two scoreless innings, and Jesse “Clutch” Stallings struck out two in 1.1 scoreless innings to pick up his first save of the year. Shard “James” Munroe went 2 for 4 with a RBI, triple, and a run scored, and Jay Schuyler knocked in two with a double and scored. Miguel Hernandez went 2 for 4.
Juan De Jesus is on the mound at 7:00 PM ET.
