Brian O’Grady, 1B, Louisville: 2 for 4, 2 HR, 3 RBI

Brian O’Grady has had himself quite the start to the 2019 season. He continued that by going 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, his second and third on the year, while collecting 3 RBI. After Thursday night’s performance, he has a slash of .393/.457/.786 with a 1.243 OPS. Have a trophy, Brian. Keep on hammering the ball. Honorable mention is due to Taylor Trammell, who went 4 for 5. He good.

Louisville Bats 7, Gwinnett Stripers 6

Louisville overcame an early deficit to come back and defeat Gwinnett, 7-6. Keury “Nooma Nooma” Mella got the start and wasn’t great. He lasted only 3 inning and allowed 5 runs on 6 hits while walking 2 and striking out 2. Matt Bowman struck out 3 in 2 scoreless innings of relief. Brian “Beef” O’Grady brought out the tater mashers last night, as he went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and 3 RBI. Aristides “Heiress Titties” Aquino went 1 for 3 with a 2-run bomb and also had 3 RBI and Christian Colon went 3 for 4 and scored twice.

Up Next: TBD is scheduled to pitch against Gwinnett tonight at 7:05 PM EDT.

Chattanooga Lookouts 6, Jackson Generals 2

Chattanooga bounced back from Wednesday’s loss and defeated Jackson 6-2 on Thursday. Tejay “Tony, Toni” Antone got the start and went 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Joel Kuhnel had a great performance out of the bullpen, striking out 6 in 2 scoreless innings. Taylor Trammell continues to swing a hot bat, as he went 4 for 5 with a RBI and a run scored. TJ “Born” Friedl went 2 for 3 and drove in a run, Luis Gonzalez went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI, and Tejay Antone helped his caused by driving in 2 runs of his own.

Up Next: Tony Santillan gets the start tonight at 7:05 PM EDT.

Daytona Tortugas 0, Palm Beach Cardinals 6

Packy “Wacky” Naughton got the start for Daytona last night and did okay. He lasted 5.2 innings and gave up 3 runs (2 earned) while scattering 9 hits around 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Unfortunately it didn’t really matter how he did because the offense failed to back him up. Hendrik “Oh, My Darling” Clementina went 2 for 4 on the night and that’s pretty much all there was to the offense. Carlos Diaz threw a scoreless inning of relief, which is nice.

Up Next: Daytona looks to bounce back with TBD getting the start against Tampa tonight at 7:05 PM EDT.

Dayton Dragons 4, Fort Wayne TinCaps 5

The Dragons’ bullpen melted down to the tune of a 4-run 8th inning and Dayton fell 5-4 to Fort Wayne on Thursday. Jhon “Ivan David” De Jesus started and pitched really well, going 5 shutout innings with only 1 hit, 1 walk, and 7 strikeouts. Michael Siani reached base 4 times going 2 for 3 with 2 walks and a run scored.
