Marlins at Reds, Game 3 - Preview and Lineups

Goin’ for the sweep!

After a miserable start to the season that saw them lose 8 straight games, the Cincinnati Reds finally have themselves a little winning streak. They will look to continue that this afternoon against the Miami Marlins, and will hope to collect their first sweep of the season along the way. After a tough first outing, Sonny Gray settled down and pitched 6.2 innings and allowed only 1 run against Pittsburgh last week. He unfortunately couldn’t overcome an offense that didn’t score and still took the loss. Hopefully he can build off of that today. Miami will counter with Pablo Lopez. Lopez (1-1, 6.10), will be making his 3rd start of the season today. Things haven’t been great for him in the early going, as he’s given up 7 earned runs in 10.1 innings of work.

Oh yeah, Our Friend Yasiel Puig returns to the lineup today. First pitch is scheduled for 12:35 PM EDT.

Go Reds.
