The Brandon Larson Honorary Star of the Night
Alejo Lopez: 3 for 5, 2-run home run, 3 RBI
Alejo Lopez is getting his first crack at High-A Daytona this season. After spending the entire season in Dayton in 2018, he has got off to a hot start this year, slashing .379/.438/.483 in the short season. Last night, he continued that with a 3 for 5 night while hitting a 2-run dinger and driving in 3. His home run last night was his first of the year, and it also surpassed his entire HR total from 2018. Have a trophy, Alejo.
Louisville Bats 8, Columbus Clippers 0
After a couple of rough nights, Louisville broke out in a big way with an 8-0 victory over Columbus. Lucas “I am your father” Sims had a solid outing on the mound, going 5.1 innings and giving up no runs on 2 hits with 2 walks and 7 strikeouts. Jesus “Saves” Reyes struck out 2 in 1.2 scoreless innings and “Sloppy” Sal Romano struck out 2 in a scoreless inning. Josh “Living in a” VanMeter “Down by the river” continues to fucking mash the ball, as he smacked a 2-run dinger as a part of a 2 for 3 night. Brian “Beef” O’Grady went 3 for 5 with a double and a RBI and Nick “Shedhi” Longhi went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 driven in.
