Spring Training Game Fourteen: Reds at Royals

A day game after a night game? What is this, July?

Fresh off an 11-3 thumping at the hands of the Seattle Mariners last night on FS-Ohio’s first broadcast of the spring, the Cincinnati Reds will be back in action under the Arizona sun on Friday, as they’ll tangle with the Kansas City Royals in Surprise. The Reds will send Vlad Gutierrez to the mound for the start, and he’ll be backed by the likes of Raisel Iglesias, Jared Hughes, and Lucas Sims today, among others.

Among those ‘among others’ you’ll find all of these folks, since I probably should’ve just listed the tweet first.

Of particular interest today, I suppose, is that Billy Hamilton is in the lineup for the Royals - batting leadoff, no less.

There is no TV feed for this one, so you’ll simply have to listen and imagine. Maybe draw out what you think is happening in the sand, if you’re somewhere sandy.

First pitch is set for 3:05 PM ET.
