We’re only a few weeks removed from the end of the 2019 season, and the Cincinnati Reds have already had their names mentioned with some of the best of the best free agents on the market this winter.

Yes, folks, the Reds appear to finally have money and be talking to everyone.

BK and Charlie Scrabbles joined me to wax poetic about these interesting developments, breaking down the idea of the Reds potentially adding the likes of Yasmani Grandal, Didi Gregorius, Marcell Ozuna, Howie Kendrick, and more. We do some rough math, examine who might be the best fit, and wonder how the addition of any of these dudes would cause a ripple effect on the current roster - one that could well jive with a major winter trade, too.

Beyond that, we dote on Sonny Gray a bit, too, as last night it was revealed that he finished 7th in the NL Cy Young Award voting, a finish that proved to be quite lucrative to him given a tiny clause in his contract extension. Also on the topic of Reds pitching, we discuss a bit the saga of Kevin Gausman and whether or not his projected $10+ million arbitration salary for 2020 might be too expensive for the Reds - a topic that our own Tony Wolfe looked at in much, much greater detail in a post today.
