The Cincinnati Reds haven’t won a game in forever, and frankly, they’re running out of season at this point. In fact, last night’s loss to the San Diego Padres was their 82nd of the season, meaning they’ve officially locked up yet another losing season already this year.
Blergh.
Anthony DeSclafani will toe the rubber for the Reds tonight, and he’ll do so looking to rebound after an iffy outing his last time on the mound. His control was never there as he battled through just 3.2 innings of 2 ER ball over the weekend against the St. Louis Cardinals, but hopefully he can re-find the form that helped him pitch to a rock solid 3.35 ERA in his 7 starts prior to that one.
The Padres will counter with starter Brett Kennedy.
First pitch is set for 6:40 PM ET, so don’t be that jerk that tunes in at 7:10 and wonders what the hell is going on.
