The Brandon Larson Honorary Star of the Night
Bruce Yari - 2 for 2, 2B, HR, 4 RBI, 3 BB
Bruce Yari isn’t one of the more highly regarded prospects in the Reds’ system, but he has put together a pretty solid season. In 2018, he is hitting .281/.397/.387 for the Tortugas. He continued that with a massive game last night, reaching base 5 times and hitting a 3-run dinger. Have a trophy, Bruce.
Louisville’s bats were mostly held in check last night in a 3-2 loss to Pawtucket. Jose “George” Lopez started and went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 6 hits with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. “General” Jackson Stephens made a rehab appearance and threw a shutout inning. Brian “Beef” O’Grady went 1 for 4 and hit a 2-run dinger. Gabriel “Young Vlad” Guerrero went 3 for 4 on the evening and DJ “Bass Drop” Peterson went 2 for 4. For a nickname flashback, Josh “Boring Name” Smith got the start for Pawtucket last night.

Pensacola was off last night. Seth Varner will take the mound tonight against Mobile at 6:35 PM CT.
Daytona won an absolute slugfest over Dunedin on Tuesday. As you can see, the pitching was not great. Wennington “Meh-ington” Romero went 4 innings and allowed 3 runs on 6 hits while walking 2 and striking out 3. Randy “Pet Detective” Ventura went 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored, 2 RBI, and a walk. Bruce “BRRUUUUUUUUCCCEE” Yari went 2 for 2 with a double, a 3-run blast, and 4 RBI. Brantley “Ring My” Bell went 3 for 5 with a double and a run scored and Stuart “Little” Fairchild went 2 for 4 with a triple, a walk, an RBI, and 2 runs scored.
The big news out of this one is that the Reds’ 3rd overall prospect, Taylor Trammell, left the game early after crashing into the wall in center. There have been no other updates on the situation. Everything, as you all know, is awful.
Daytona plays tonight at 7:05 PM ET.

Billings is still in their All-Star break.
