Brian Rey - 2 for 5, HR, 3 RBI

Nobody else really stood out last night in the minors. 2 teams didn’t have a game, and the rest of the teams didn’t really show up either. So in their last game of the season, the trophy goes to Greeneville’s Brian Rey. Congrats. Enjoy your off-season.

Louisville Bats 1, Columbus Clippers 7

Louisville had a rough time in the middle innings, as they gave up 3 runs in each of the 5th and 6th innings to fall 7-1 on Wednesday. Jose Lopez didn’t have his best stuff, giving up 4 runs on 9 hits with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts over 5 innings. DJ Peterson went 3 for 4 and “Stone Cold” Steve Selsky went 2 for 4 and drove in a run. The Bats didn’t have an extra-base hit all evening.

Tyler Mahle starts tonight at 6:35 PM ET.

Pensacola was off last night. They will face off against the Tennessee Smokies tonight at 6:00 PM CT with TBD taking the mound.

Daytona was also off last night. TBD will also be starting for Daytona this afternoon at 3:30 PM ET.

Dayton Dragons 2, West Michigan Whitecaps 6

Austin “Animal Farm” Orewiler did not pitch well in his start for Dayton on Wednesday. He threw 6 innings and gave up 6 runs on 10 hits while allowing no walks and striking out 5. JD Williams went 2 for 4 with a walk and a run scored, Jeter “Re2pect” Downs went 2 for 5, and Hendrik Clementina went 1 for 4 with a double and drove in a run. Andy Cox struck out 2 in 2 scoreless innings.

Mac Sceroler starts tonight at 7:00 PM ET.

Greeneville Reds 5, Princeton Rays 8

Things did not go well down on the Reds farm last night, did they? A 6-run 6th inning would be the doom of Greeneville in an 8-5 loss to the Princeton Rays. Jacob Heatherly started and struggled with his command. He lasted 4 innings and allowed 2 runs on 6 hits with 4 walks and 5 strikeouts. Jerry “JERRY! JERRY!” D’Andrea struck out 3 in a scoreless inning of relief. Brian “Gamma” Rey went 2 for 5 with a dinger and 3 RBI. Rylan Thomas went 2 for 4 with a walk and Robert Boselli reached 4 times, going 1 for 4 with 3 walks and 2 runs scored.

That ended Greeneville’s season. They finished with a record of 28-40.

Billings Mustangs 5, Missoula Osprey 6

Billings blew two separate extra-innings leads last night to fall 6-5 in 11 innings. Ricky “Morty” Salinas threw 4.2 innings and allowed no runs on 3 hits. He also walked 4 and struck out 5. Ryan Campbell struck out 2 in 2 scoreless innings of relief. Jay “Peggy, Angelica, Eliza” Schuyler went 3 for 5 and drove in 2 and Carlos Rivero went 2 for 4 with a double, a RBI, and a run scored. Dylan Harris drove in 2 in a 1 for 4 night.

Adrian Rodriguez starts tonight at 7:05 PM MT.
