There’s been no activating Joey Votto from the 10-day DL today, which is a bummer on many levels. The Cincinnati Reds could used a Votto-sized jolt to their roster at the moment, as they’re fresh off a 1-6 road trip through Milwaukee and Chicago that left them firmly beaten, battered, and defeated.
Next up: another series against those Milwaukee Brewers, this time at GABP.
The Cincinnati Reds will send Anthony DeSclafani to the mound, which is a good thing seeing as he’s largely been a dang fine starter over his last handful of outings. He’ll be opposed by Milwaukee starter Junior Guerra, who just allowed 7 runs (mostly unearned) in the series against the Reds last week in the lone game won by Cincinnati.
First pitch is set for 7:10 PM ET.
