“General” Jackson Stephens took the start and pitched a perfect inning. Brandon “Finny” Finnegan did pitch 2 scoreless but walked 3 while only striking out 1, and Kyle “Davy” Crockett struck out 3 in 2 scoreless innings. Gabby Guerrero knocked in 2 on a 2 for 5 night, and Brian “Beef” O’Grady went 3 for 3 with a stolen base, RBI, and a run scored. Tim “TIMMAY” Federowicz knocked a double while going 2 for 3 with a walk, RBI, and a run scored.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos 1, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 9

Tony Santillan got roughed up bad. He gave up 7 earned runs (8 total) over 3 innings on 9 hits, 1 walk, and 2 strikeouts. Jose Rafael De Paula struck out 4 in 3 scoreless, and “Saint” Nick Howard struck out 2 in 2 perfect innings. Jose Siri bashed a homer, and Shed “To Bed” Long walked twice.

Pensacola plays at 6:35 PM CT.

Daytona Tortugas 1, Lakeland Flying Tigers 12 (F/5)

As they like to say in North Dakota, Uff-da. Yeah, they say that. Andrew Jordan didn’t even make it out of the 1st inning without allowing 4 earned (9 total). Kevin “BOOM” Canelon struck out 1 in 1.1 scoreless. Tyler Stephenson knocked in the lone Tortugas run. The then called the game in the fifth. I’m gonna guess it rained because it rains a lot in Florida, but it’s not like the white flag wasn’t being waved in this one early.

Dayton Dragons 5, Lake County Captains 4

Finally, a win. Jared “Temple Of” Solomon gave up 3 earned runs (4 total) over 5 innings on 8 hits, 4 walks, and 2 strikeouts. “Finding” Dauri Moreta struck out 2 in 3 perfect innings, and Ryan “Busta” Nutof struck out 1 in a scoreless inning to pick up his 5th save. Mark Kolozvary hit a 2-run dinger, Alejo “Aloha” Lopez doubled in a run and walked twice, and Jose Garcia went 2 for 5 with a stolen base and a run scored.

Greeneville Reds 7, Danville Braves 2 (F/7)

Josiah “Amish” Gray pitched another great game. He struck out 5 in 5 innings while giving up only 1 earned run, 1 hit, and 1 walk. Jerry “Big Bird” D’Andrea struck out 2 in 2 scoreless (1 unearned) to pick up his 2nd save. Miguel Hernandez went 2 for 3 with a dinger and 4 RBI, and Hunter “Greene” Oliver went 2 for 2 with a RBI, walk, and 2 runs scored.

Greeneville Reds 2, Danville Braves 1 (F/7)

Miguel Medrano struck out 9 and walked only 2 in 6 innings (0 ER, 1 R, 6 H). Connor Bennett struck out 1 in a perfect 7th to pick up his 3rd save. He has a 0.57 ERA. Claudio Finol “Goes West” went 2 for 4 with a double.
