Brandon Larson Honorary Star Of The Weekend
Ibandel Isabel - He wanged four wangers for like 6 RBI and even walked once which is kind of rare for him. He’s now sitting one shy of 30 and about to break a Florida League single season record for smacking doinks over walls in a league where doinks don’t get dinged. Have a trophy, young man.
Friday
Louisville Bats, 3, Lehigh Valley IronPigs 3
Lucas “Fake” Sims put together another real good start since joining the Reds. He gave up 1 earned run over 6 innings on 2 hits, 2 walks, while striking out. Austin “The” Brice “Is Right” struck out 1, and Kevin “Mallard” Quackenbush struck out 3 as they both pitched scoreless innings out of the pen. Quackenbush picked up his 21st save of the year. Gabby Guerrero doinked another donk and walked, and Brian “Beef” O’Grady went 3 for 4 with a RBI, stolen base, and 2 runs scored. O’Grady has been beating the hell out of the ball in AAA by the way.

Daytona Tortugas 1, Jupiter Hammerheads 7 (F/7)
Kevin “Cannon” Canelon pitched four very good scoreless innings. He struck out 4, and allowed only 1 hit and 1 walk in those four innings. The wheels fell off after Canelon. Ibandel “Strong” Isabel knocked in the only run with his 26th homer of the year.

It was a reliever fest and no one was of particular note. Except that Luis Alecis only went 2.2 innings while giving up 3 earned runs. Greeneville Reds 0, Bristol Pirates 3
Jacob Heatherly didn’t have his best stuff. He gave up 2 earned runs over 4 innings on 3 hits, 5 walks, and 4 strikeouts. Josh “Money” Rich and AJ Moore both struck out 1 in scoreless innings. Mike Siani and Jose Tello both had 2-hit games.

Chris “Annie Are You” Okey went 3 for 4 with a RBI.
