Louisville was off tonight. They’ll be playing a doubleheader tomorrow starting at 5:00 PM ET. Robert Stephenson will be starting one of those games.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos 3, Chattanooga Lookouts 4

Pensacola had taken the lead in the top of the 9th but blew it in Cardinal fashion in the bottom of the 9th. The Wahoos rode a solid start by Seth “Vanish” Varner who allowed only 1 earned run (2 total) over 6 innings. He struck out 5, walked 2, while giving up 5 hits. Carlos “Chavez y Chavez” Navas struck out 4 in 2 scoreless innings. Alejandro Chacin is the one that didn’t fare too well in the 9th. Jose “Call Me” Siri did a very un-Siri thing when he went 1 for 3 with 2 walks. Taylor Sparks went 2 for 4 with a walk and a run scored, and TJ “Of The Hill” Friedl went 2 for 5.

Pensacola will play again at 6:15 PM CT.

Daytona Tortugas 6, Palm Beach Cardinals 4

This game wasn’t as dramatic. Scott “Green” Moss was good even if wild. He allowed 1 earned run (2 total) on 4 hits, 3 walks, and 4 strikeouts. Michael “Slow” Byrne and Ryan “Guitar Solo” Hendrix both pitched scoreless innings. Hendrix K’d 2 and also picked up his 9th save. Ty Steve, Brantley “Ding Dong” Bell (double and a RBI), Ibandel “Princess” Isabel, and Randy “Marsh” Ventura (2 RBI) all had 2-hit games. Stuart Fairchild went 1 for 2 with 2 walks.

Daytona plays Tuesday at 7:05 PM ET.

Dayton Dragons 3, Beloit Snappers 0

Austin “1984” Orewiler was fan-freaking-tastic. He pitched 6 shutout innings while allowing 7 hits, 2 walks, and striking out 3. Wendolyn Bautista pitched the final three shutout innings with 3 strikeouts. Obviously, he picked up the elusive 3 out save. Jose Garcia knocked a dinger and scored 2 runs. Jeter “Re2pect” Downs went 1 for 3 with a walk.

Greeneville Reds 5, Burlington Royals 3

Miguel “Me Drinko” Medrano pitched well. He didn’t strike out many (1) but he limited the walks (0) allowed 6 hits and allowed 2 earned runs. Connor Bennett picked up the save, his 2nd, while striking out 3 over 1.1 perfect innings. Mike “Sippin” Siani continues to dominate older pitchers. He went 3 for 5 with a triple, RBI, and a stolen base. Jonathan “Willy” Willems went 2 for 4 with a dinger, Justin “Not Corey” Bellinger went 1 for 2 with 2 RBI double and 2 walks, and Claudio “Fine” Finol went 2 for 4 with a RBI.

Billings Mustangs 10, Orem Owlz 8

Ricky “Spit” Salinas had his strikeout pitch working but couldn’t keep the runs off the board. He gave up 4 earned runs over 5 innings on 6 hits, 1 walk, and striking out 7. Andrew “Ronald” McDonald struck out 3 in 2 scoreless to pick up the save. Pabel Manzanero went 3 for 5 with a 2-run dinger, 3 RBI, and 2 runs scored, and Bren “Spill Your Guts” Spillane went 2 for 3 with a solo dinger, 2 walks, and 3 runs scored. Dylan Harris went 3 for 5 with 2 runs scored, and Carlos “River” Rivero went 3 for 5 with 3 RBI and a stolen base. Cash Case went 2 for 5 with a walk and a RBI.
