Louisville Bats 2, Rochester Red Wings 0
Homer Bailey, in one of his last tune-ups before presumably returning to the Cincinnati rotation, was actually pretty good in this one. He still walked 3, but he pitched 7 shut out innings with 4 hits and 3 strikeouts. That would work...
Jimmy “Drinks to” Herget struck out 1 in his 1 IP, while Kevin “Quack Attack” Quackenbush fired an inning for the save, striking out 1 and allowing 2 hits.
The Bats, uh, bats were relatively quiet, with “Uncle” Phil Ervin providing most of the damage and all of the Arby-Eyes. He had 2 hits and 2 RBI on the night, while Brandon Dixon doubled, walked twice, and scored a run. Chadwick “Drompf” Tromp hit, walked, and scored the other run.
Up Next: Cody Reed will make his latest audition for the Cincinnati roster tonight against Syracuse. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 PM EDT.
Pensacola Blue Wahoos 11, Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp 3
The ‘Hoos put a beat down on the shrimp. Seth “Turpentine and” Varner pitched 7 six hit innings, allowing only 1 ER and 1 walk to go along with 4 K. Carlos Navas allowed only a hit in his inning, striking out two, while Alex “Light Tower” Powers pitched a scoreless and walkless final inning.
Damn near everyone got in on the hitting, led by Jose “Artificial Intelligence” Siri, who swatted 2 dingers on a 3 hit night, driving in 4 runs and scoring 2. Mitch “Yay or” Nay hit 3 times with a walk and scored 2 runs. “Get off the” Shed Long doubled in a run and scored one himself, while Chris “Annie are you” Okey swatted a dinger on a two hit night.
Up Next: Vladimir Gutierrez looks to stay hot against the Shrimp. First pitch is at 7:35 PM EDT.
Daytona Tortugas 2, Clearwater Threshers 5
Andrew Jordan was more like Wizards Jordan than Bulls Jordan in this one, going only 4.2 IP while allowing 4 ER, 2 BB on 8 hits. He did strike out 4. Aaron “Mu” Fossas struck out 1 in 1.1, while Jeremy Kivel “and Bits” walked 1 and struck out 2 in his inning. Ryan “[sick guitar riff here]” Hendrix allowed a hit and a walk with a strikeout in 1 IP.
Taylor Freakin’ Trammell belted another dinger and also a double for good measure. “Cowboy” Brantley Bell also dingered, hit again, and walked, while Randy “The Body” Ventura hit once. The rest of the offense was quiet for the Baby Turtles.

Dayton Dragons 4, Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 6
Austin Orewiler pitched 6 full innings in this one, giving up 5 ER on 9 hits. Ryan “Sex Joke” Nutof allowed a hit, run, and walk to go with 2 K in 2 IP.
Henrik “VD” Clementina mashed a home run and another hit, while Jeter Downs continues to earn our Re2epct by doubling and scoring a run. Alejo Lopez also hit twice and scored a run.

Up Next: Alexis Diaz starts for Greeneville in Elizabethton tonight at 7:00 PM EDT.
Billings Mustangs 2, Grand Junction Rockies 7
