Seth Varner was probably the most wild I have seen him. He gave up 3 earned runs over 6.1 innings on 5 hits, 4 walk, while striking out 5. Jesus “Wishes He Saved” Reyes struck out 2 in 2.2 scoreless. Mitch “Pray” Nay went 1 for 3 with a walk. Shed Long doubled in a run.

Daytona Tortugas 6, Florida Fire Frogs 2

Scott Moss “Man” was pretty good once again. He allowed 2 earned runs over 5.2 innings on 6 hits, 2 walks, while striking out 7. Kevin “Home Alone” Canelon struck out 1 in 1.1 scoreless, and Ty Boyles and Aaron “Jimmy” Fossas did the same but in only 1 inning. Daniel “Very” Sweet hit another 3-run dinger, and Brantly “Ding Dong” Bell hit a 2-run ding dong of his own. Bruce “Hari” Yari went 4 for 4 with a double, RBI, and a run scored. Tyler “Yawn” Stephenson went 2 for 4, and Randy “Ace” Ventura went 2 for 5 with a double and a run scored.

Daytona plays at 7:05 PM.

Dayton Dragons 2, Quad Cities River Bandits 3

Adrian “Yo” Rodriguez was wild. He gave up only an earned run over 4 innings but did give up 3 hits, 4 walks, while striking out 5. Andy “Dr” Cox (2 K), John “Demon” Ghyzel (2 K), and Ryan “Busta” Nutof (1 K) all pitched scoreless innings. The Dragons only had 3 hits and a walk on the evening. The runs were scored on a sacrifice and an error.

Austin Orewiler will be on the mound at 7:00 PM ET.

Billings Mustangs 2, Grand Junction Rockies 7

Luis Alecis had his first rough start of the year. He gave up 4 earned runs over 4 innings on 4 hits, 3 walks, while only striking out 2. Andrew “Ronald” McDonald struck out 4 in 2 scoreless innings of relief. Zeke White went 1 for 3 with 2 walks, and Valentin Martinez went 2 for 3 with a walk.

Billings plays at 7:05 PM MT.

Greeneville Reds 1, Kingsport Mets 4

Lyon “Heart” Richardson finally put together a good outing. He pitched 3 innings while not giving up an earned run (2 did score) on 3 hits, 0 walks, while striking out 4. Johnnie “Rob” Schneider pitched 2 scoreless innings. Hunter Oliver went 3 for 4 with a solo dinger.
