Sal Romano feasted on AL Central hitting for back to back starts mid-June, firing 15.1 total innings against the beleaguered Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox in which he allowed just a lone earned run across two starts. Unfortunately, in the other 6 of his last 8 starts dating back to May 14th, he’s allowed 6, 7, 5, 4, 5, and 5 earned runs, a total of 32 earnies in just 27.2 IP.
The Milwaukee Brewers were once members of the AL Central, so hopefully Mustang Sally treats them as such in his start for the Cincinnati Reds on Friday night. The Beers will counter with Chase Anderson, who has struggled to just a 4.37 ERA and 5.55 FIP in 82.1 IP in 2018 after posting a masterful 162 ERA+ in 141.1 IP in 2017 - which I know thanks to me having drafted him in our unchangeable roster RR fantasy league.
First pitch is set for 7:10 PM ET.
