The Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs will play two today, giving us a full slate of Saturday baseball - assuming the rain doesn’t intervene once again.
Luis Castillo and Kyle Hendricks will make starts for their respective sides in the first game of the day, which is scheduled for a 1:10 PM ET first pitch. The nightcap - with first pitch set for 7:10 PM ET - will feature Sal Romano starting for the Reds opposite Jose Quintana for the Cubs.
Let’s do some baseball, shall we?

Other Notes
- The Reds have access to a 26th roster spot today given the doubleheader, and called up reliever Kevin Shackelford to be that depth.
- Some great insight into Amir Garrett’s current situation and whether or not we’ll see him get starts this year from The Athletic’s C. Trent Rosecrans.
- Go Reds. Go Reds. They’re my favorite team! They’re my favorite team!
