I’m a sucker for perfect games such as this. Sure, I want to talk about some other big nights from some other players, but they all showed imperfections such as actually making an out. Here is where I’d make a stupid Trump joke, but Trump makes all the stupid Trump jokes we really need.

Louisville Bats 2, Charlotte 1

If you were looking for good pitching, don’t look for Robert “Walk This Way” Stephenson. He walked 8 batters in 4 innings. The good news is he only allowed 1 earned run on 2 hits but only struck out one. Yikes. Kyle “Davy” Crockett struck out 2 in 2 scoreless, David Hernandez struck out 1 in a rehab inning, Jimmy “Wayne” Herget struck out 2 in 2 scoreless, and Zack “Winky” Weiss struck out the side to pick up the win. DJ “Petey” Peterson was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a RBI.

The Bats have Thursday off, and Jackson Stephens will be on the mound at 7:05 PM ET.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos 9, Birmingham Barons 8

Wyatt “Derp” Strahan got crushed in his start. He allowed 5 earned runs (6 total) over 5 innings. He gave up 10 hits, a dinger, 3 walks, and didn’t strikeout a batter. Carlos “Fuzzy Navel” Navas struck out 3 in 2 scoreless innings, and Alex “International Man of Mystery” Powers struck out 2 in the 9th to pick up the save. Gavin “Power” LaValley knocked a solo wanger on a 2 for 5 night. Chadwick “Piss Tape” Tromp was 2 for 2 with a double, 2 RBI, and 2 walks, and Luis Gonzalez was 2 for 3 with a double, a RBI, and a walk. Multi-hit games were also achieved by Shed “Blockers” Long, Gabby Guerrero, and Aristides “Horseshit” Aquino singled, walked, scored, and drove in a run.

Daytona Tortugas 11, Florida Fire Frogs 2

Wennington “Take Her to Beddington” Romero was nails. He threw 6 shutout innings while giving up 4 hits, no walks, and striking out 5. Nick Howard ONLY gave up 2 earned runs over 3 innings. He walked 2 and struck out 2 lowering his season ERA to 14.09. I thought you’d like to know. Taylor “Freaking” Trammell was 2 for 5 with a solo ding dong. Mitch “Flay” Nay was 4 for 5 with 3 RBI, TJ Friedl was 2 for 4 with a double, 3 runs scored, a RBI, and a walk, and Tyler “Yawn” Stephenson went 2 for 5 with 2 RBI.

Dayton Dragons 2, Lansing Lugnuts 13

It looks like Mac Sceroler didn’t get helped much by his defense, but he also didn’t pitch very well (4 IP, 7 H, 8 R, 3 ER, 4 BB, 2 K). Cory “Ain’t NO Shortstop” Thompson struck out 1 in a scoreless inning and so did Morgan “Wonder Bread” Lofstrom. John “Sandstorm” Sansone was 3 for 4 with a triple and a RBI. Jeter “Re2pect” Downs was 2 for 4 with a run scored, and he stole his 9th base of the year.
