Cactus League Game 21: Brewers at Reds

Michael Lorenzen is set to begin this one for the Reds. He is still in the running for one of the open spots in the Reds’ Opening Day rotation, but he is running out of opportunities to prove that he deserves it. We are just three weeks from baseball that counts, you know.

Meanwhile, Bryan Price remarked today that he thinks Sal Romano and Tyler Mahle have separated themselves from the rest of the field.

• Chadwick Tromp, Darnell Sweeney, Patrick Kivlehan, and Dilson Herrera have been reassigned to minor-league camp. Kivlehan’s departure raised a few eyebrows, as he was seriously in the running for one of the spots on the bench. Perhaps it is no coincidence that Brandon Dixon is starting today at second base and batting fifth.
