Cactus League Game 18: Reds at Angels

The Cincinnati Reds of Goodyear, Arizona are scheduled to play some baseball today against the California American League City of Angels Angels presented by Disney in Tempe. There are likely to be movie tie-ins.

Homer Bailey will start the game for the Reds with Garrett Richards opposed. Zack Cozart will be in the starting lineup for the Angels with John Lamb and Blake Wood scheduled to pitch. We might also see Juan Graterol! That’ll be pretty neat, I think.

It’s not really important that Ol’ Hoss throws the ball effectively, but he sure as hell better not get hurt trying to do so. I’ve had it up to here with Reds’ pitchers getting hurt all the damn time.

@ctrent has your travel roster and starting lineup for today. They have Winker, Senzel, and Votto hitting 1-2-3 so I’m gonna take a minute and go have a litter of excitement kittens brb.

Other Notes:

• Brandon Finnegan seems to be just fine after getting pulled from the game yesterday. After hearing the Disco injury news just a few hours before, I about lost my nanners when this happened. But they seem to think a few days of rest and treatment will take care of it.
• The World Series champion Houston Astros visited the White House today. I never understood this tradition and I think it should stop.
• My boy staged a reading of one of his favorite books last night and I’m really proud and I think it is adorable and I want to share it with all the world.
