Toledo 7, Louisville 3

Sebastian Elizalde had two hits and knocked in two runs in this L’ville L as the Bats took an early 2-0 after the first inning, and…that was it for the lead. Rookie Davis pitched 5 1/3, gave up four runs (three earned) on seven hits, struck out four and walked two. Lisalverto “not related to Bobby” Bonilla gave up two runs on four hits in 2 2/3 innings of relief.

Cody Reed starts for the Bats tonight against Indianapolis at 7:05 PM ET.

Birmingham 5, Pensacola 2

Shed “Star of C. Trent’s ‘Great American Dream’ Podcast” Long had two hits and Nick “2016 No. 2” Senzel smacked a solo dinger, his ninth in the minors this season and fifth in Double-A. Starter Domingo “Tilapia” Tapia pitched five full, gave up two runs on eight hits, walked two and struck out two.

The Blue Wahoos play at Tennessee tonight at 7:00 PM ET.

Lakeland 5, Daytona 2

Daytona was held to only three hits in this L and decided to end the night with the same score as Pensacola. Reydel Medina knocked in two runs in the top of the first, and…that was it for Daytona’s offense the rest of the night.

The Tortugas play at Lakeland tonight at 6:30 PM ET.

Great Lakes 16, Dayton 5

You already know this. Anthony DeSclafani made a rehab start for the Dragons Thursday night and UGH, UGH and MORE UGH. He recorded only one out and gave up eight runs on eight hits, three of which were dingers. In better news, Jose “iPhone voice” Siri extended his record-hitting-streak to 39 games with an 8th-inning, bases clearing double.

The Dragons host Great Lakes tonight at 7:00 PM ET.

Ogden 4, Billings 3

Starter Luis Alecis gave up four runs on only one hit, but he walked four in four innings. Jeter “Derek” Downs had a hit and knocked in a run, and Stuart Fairchild doubled and scored a run.

The Mustangs host Ogden tonight at 9:05 PM ET.
