These two veterans square off for the first time since they started against each other... last Wednesday. This matchup happened in Chicago already, where Lackey clearly got the better of Bailey and the Reds. For Homer, he needs to bounce back and keep the team in the ballgame. He gave up 6 runs against these Cubs last time, and didn’t make it out of the 6th. John Lackey only gave up 1 run against the Reds, but his bullpen blew the lead to deny him the decision.
