Tim Adleman vs. Zach Greinke

The Reds close out the unofficial first half of 2017 with a three-game set at Chase Field. If you missed Eric Roseberry’s series preview, check it out here.

On Sunday against the Cubs, Adleman gave up three runs on six hits in five innings. Two of those hits were home runs by Ian Happ. He hasn’t pitched less than five innings in a start since May 20.

Greinke already has 10 wins (insert sarcastic remark here on the value of the win/loss stat) and a 1.02 WHIP. His control has been stellar, as he has only given up 22 walks on the year. In his last start against the Rockies, he gave up two runs on three hits in seven innings and struck out eight.

(Side note: vs. Greinke in his career, Joey Votto has slashed .414/.500/.862, including three dingers.)

Go Reds!
