Cincinnati Reds Trade Deadline Watch

You can still watch with your eyes closed, right?

Major League Baseball’s non-waiver trade deadline is today at exactly 4 PM ET. The Cincinnati Reds are technically one of Major League Baseball’s 30 teams, which means that - in theory - they’ve only got a few more hours to concoct and conduct trade activity without needing the players involved to clear waivers in the process.

That is, of course, if they make any moves at all.

They could still trade Zack Cozart, though his DL status and balky quad injury have decimated his value. The same can be said for Scott Feldman, who’s still on the DL with knee troubles. Drew Storen is a healthy rental pitching half decently, but there are an army of relievers on the move already who seem to rank above him on other teams’ pecking order. So, there’s that.

More likely than not, though, we’ll get to see which peers of the Reds make large acquisitions both for 2017 and beyond today, with the likes of Yu Darvish, Sonny Gray, and Zach Britton all potentially changing addresses in the coming hours. If and when those things materialize, you can yap about them here at Red Reporter dot com with us.

Go 2018 Reds. They’re my favorite 2018 team!
