Farmers Only: The streak continues

Jose Siri went 1 for 4 to push his hitting streak up to 32 games.

Louisville Bats 4, Syracuse Chiefs 5

Louisville couldn’t finish off a solid start by Amir “Ball is Life” Garrett as they gave up a 3-run walk-off dinger to fall 5-4 to Syracuse. Garrett went 6.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits with no walks and 5 strikeouts. That was a far cry from his last performance, where he gave up a lot more than 2 runs. Sebastian “Lizard People” Elizalde was 2 for 4 with a dinger and 2 RBI, Uncle Jesse Winker was 2 for 4 with a double, and Tyler “Good Day” Goeddel was 1 for 3 with a double, a walk, and 1 RBI. Jimmy will hope to Herget this one, as he gave up the 3-run dinger to end the game.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos 5, Biloxi Shuckers 1

Deck “Boughs of Holly” McGuire started for Pensacola and pitched really well, giving up only 1 hit and 1 run over 7 innings, although he did have 4 walks against 3 strikeouts. Aristides “Heiress Titties” Aquino had his best game in a long time, going 3 for 4 with a 2-run dinger and 2 runs scored. Nick “Senzational” Senzel went 1 for 3 with a double and a walk and Blake “Trade Hands” Trahan was 1 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI. Geoff “With a G” Broussard struck out 2 in 2 scoreless innings of relief.

Daytona Tortugas 2, Clearwater Threshers 4

Jonathon “Crawfish” Crawford started and was a little better, giving up 2 runs on 3 hits with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts over 5 innings of work. Chris Okey “Dokey” was 2 for 4, as were T.J. “Land of the” Friedl and Jonathan Reynoso. Reydel Medina was 1 for 3 with a triple, a walk, and 1 RBI. “Hurricane” Sandy Lugo struck out 2 in 2 scoreless innings of relief.

Dayton Dragons 7, Lansing Lugnuts 8

Alex Webb got lit up for Dayton last night, lasting only 3 innings and giving up 7 runs on 9 hits with 3 walks and only 1 strikeout. Jose “32” Siri went 1 for 4, extending his hit streak to 32 games. Hector Vargas was 2 for 3 with a double, a walk, 1 RBI, and 3 runs scored, “Butch” Cassidy Brown was 2 for 4 with 1 RBI and scored a run, and something called a Malik Collymore was 1 for 2 with a run scored. I literally just added him in here so I could bring up the fact that the Dragons have a player named Malik Collymore. Aaron “Brush your teeth and” Fossas struck out 2 and didn’t allow a run in 2.1 innings of relief.
