Jackson “Mississippi” Stephens pitched decently. He gave up 3 earned runs over 6 innings. He allowed 7 hits, 0 walks, and 5 strikeouts. Kevin “Chains Chrysler” Shackelford struck out 1 over a shutout inning to pick up his 12th save. Sebastian “Bach” Elizalde went 3 for 3 with a 2-run dinger, a double, and 2 runs scored. Brandon “Mason” Dixon also hit a solo homer.

Louisville 6, Syracuse 5

Lisalverto “Simpson” Bonilla didn’t give up a run over 4 innings. He allowed 2 hits, 2 walks, and struck out 2. Jimmy “Eats World” Herget pitched 1.2 scoreless with a strikeout to pick up his 5th save. Uncle Phil Ervin and Brandon Dixon both hit the type of dingers that score two runs when you hit them. Jesse “Winkerbean” Winker also went 2 for 4 with a RBI and 2 runs scored. Alex “The Great” Blandino went 1 for 2 with a walk.

Keury “Spicy Food” Mella was not spicy in his start. He did only allow 3 runs over 6 innings, but gave up 7 hits, no walks, and struck out 3. I want more spicy strikeouts! Alex “International Man Of Mystery” Powers pitched 2 shutout innings (though 2 unearned runs did score) with 3 strikeouts. Geoff “Ree” Broussard pitched a scoreless inning. Gabby Guerrero and Aristides “Heiress Titties” Aquino both hit dingers. Guerrero was a 2-run shot and Aquino only a solo. Gavin LaValley was 2 for 4 with a run scored, and Shed “Go To Bed” Long was 2 for 4 with a RBI.

Ty “Poppin’” Boyles pitched 5 innings without giving up an earned run (1 unearned run) on 5 hits, 2 walks, and 4 strikeouts. Austin “1984” Orewiler pitched 2 scoreless innings with 2 strikeouts. Daniel Sweet “Tooth” was 2 for 4 with a RBI, James “Boring Name” Vasquez was 2 for 4 with a double, Reydel “Heydel” Medina was also 2 for 4 with a 3-run homer. Garrett “Malware” Boulware was 2 for 3 a 2-run dinger.
