Cincinnati will look to sweep its first series since the four-gamer of the Cardinals in early June (I feel like that’s been mentioned before).

Adleman’s last outing was against the Brewers when he pitched five full and gave up five runs on five hits with seven strikeouts. Five of those hits were home runs, and he hit a batter and walked three. His lone start against the North-Siders this year was back in April when he went six full and gave up two runs.

Arrieta lasted only four innings in D.C. on Tuesday after giving up six runs (five earned) on six hits and walking six. It took him 98 pitches to get through those four innings. His road ERA is 5.04 compared to 3.86 at the Friendly Confines.
