Chattanooga 5, Pensacola 3 (12 innings)
Nick “No. 2” Senzel went 3-for-6 with a run scored, Shed Long went hitless with a walk and a strikeout, and starting pitcher Domingo “almost named after a fish” Tapia went 5.0 IP and gave up three runs on six hits. Reliever Geoff Broussard gave up two runs in the top of the 12th that won the game for the Lookouts.
The Blue Wahoos host Mississippi tonight at 7:35 PM ET.
Daytona @ St. Lucie (rained out)
The Tortugas will play at St. Lucie tonight in a doubleheader. First game starts at 4:00 ET against the Fighting Tim Tebows.
Clinton 9, Dayton 3 (5 innings)
This rain-shortened game mercifully ended after Dayton starter Tony Santillan gave up seven runs on five hits and five walks in just 2.1 IP. Taylor Trammell, Bruce “Yo Yo” Yari, and Tyler “not related to Robert” Stephenson each collected two hits, including Trammell’s ninth three-bagger of the season.
The Dragons play at Clinton tonight at 7:30 PM ET.
Grand Junction 12, Billings 7
Starter Tyler “Crocodile” Mondile gave up six runs on seven hits in just 3.0 IP. Miles Gordon knocked in four runs and smacked two doubles, and leadoff batter Jeter “not Derek” Downs doubled, walked three times, drove in one run and scored twice.
The Mustangs host Grand Junction tonight at 9:05 PM ET.
DSL Mariners 7, DSL Reds 2
Claudio “O I ain’t got no help” Finol got the lone RBI of the game on a double in the third inning as the DSL Reds could only push across two runs, one of which was earned. The squad’s pitchers combined to give up six earned runs on only eight hits. Yoel “but not Jumbo” Diaz was the only pitcher to not give up a run.
The DSL Reds play the DSL Blue Jays today at 10:30 AM ET.
