Luis Castillo vs. Stephen Strasburg

The Reds finally get a chance to see one of their prized offseason acquisitions on the big stage, as Luis Castillo gets his first big league start, fresh out of AA Pensacola. After an off day, the Reds’ bullpen will be rested enough to come in if anything happens, but I think 5 solid innings would go a long way in this one.

Castillo couldn’t have drawn worse luck for an opponent, as he gets to face Stephen Strasburg in his first ever matchup. Strasburg is chugging right along this year, with an 8-2 record and rock solid 3.26 ERA so far. He’s going off of two straight non-quality starts, so maybe the Reds can keep that going. Here’s to hoping.
