Louisville Bats 3, Charlotte Knights 4

Louisville came up short in a 13-inning affair on Wednesday night. Cody “Eez Nuts” Reed got the start and, if you ignore the fact that he walked 5 batters, pitched pretty well. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits with 6 strikeouts over 5 innings of work. Just ignore that “BB” line on the box score, it doesn’t really matter anyways. Hernan “The Barbarian” Iribarren was 2 for 5 with a 2-run dinger, Zach “Cincy” Vincej was 2 for 4 with a walk and scored a run, and Phil “Phlervin” Ervin reached base thrice by going 1 for 3 with 2 walks. Out of the ‘pen, Louis “Lantern” Coleman struck out 2 in 2.2 scoreless innings and Kyle “R U” McMyne also struck out 2 in 2 scoreless innings.

Up Next: Robert Stephenson gets the start against Charlotte at 7:05 PM ET.

Pensacola was postponed by rain last night. They will play a double-header against Jacksonville today. Keury Mella will get the start in game 1, which is at 4:05 PM CT, while Tyler Mahle will get the start in game 2.

Daytona had their double header also cancelled by rain last night. They will face off against the Florida Fire Frogs with Wendolyn Bautista getting the start at 7:05 PM ET.

Dayton Dragons 4, Great Lakes Loons 2

Homer “Lasso” Bailey made his second rehab appearance and was fantastic once again. He went 6 innings, giving up no runs on 1 hit with no walks and 6 strikeouts, with that lone hit not coming until his final inning. Sounds like he needs to get called up to Double-A if you ask me. Taylor Trammell was 2 for 4 with a double and 1 RBI, TJ “Land of the” Friedl reached base 3 times, going 1 for 2 with 2 walks and 1 RBI. Aaron “Brush your teeth and” Fossas got the save with a scoreless inning of relief.

Up Next: Tony Santillan will get the start against Great Lakes at 7:00 PM ET.
