The 2017 MLB amateur draft is upon us. As you know, the Reds will select 2nd overall, just as they did in 2016 when they landed standout prospect Nick Senzel from the University of Tennessee.

Cincinnati will also have picks at number 32 and 38 tonight, and there is sure to be talent available at those selections as well.

How to watch

Live coverage of the 2017 MLB Draft will begin at 6pm EDT on MLB Network and will also be streamed on MLB.com. The draft will begin at 7pm EDT, and the Reds should be on the clock shortly thereafter. We won’t have to wait long to know who the newest Reds prospect will be.

Round two and competitive balance round B picks will move off the network and be held exclusively on MLB.com.

In all, 75 selections will be taken before the night is over.

For the nitty gritty details for all 30 teams and all of the top draft prospects, MLB.com has you covered.
