The Reds come off of a dominant series to face one of the hottest teams in baseball.

The story in this one will be Rookie Davis facing the team that drafted and developed him. He joined the Reds as the centerpiece of the deal with New York that netted them Aroldis Chapman, and now faces his former club in his just his 5th big league start. After a stint in Louisville, Davis looked much more composed in his most recent start, only allowing 4 hits and 3 walks in 5 shutout innings against the Pirates.

He’ll face Yankees ace Masahiro Tanaka, who after a bumbling start to the season, has put together 4 straight wins. This will be his first road start since his start against Boston, where he throw a complete game 3-hit shutout.
