General Jackson Stephens took the start and had one of his best starts of the year. He pitched 6 innings and gave up 2 earned runs. 4 hits were allowed with no walks and 4 strikeouts. Though, those two runs were scored on solo home runs. Tony Renda was 2 for 4 with a RBI.
Bats 8, Mud Hens 7 (F/10)
Rob “Hooter” Wooten got roughed up in his start on Saturday. He gave up 4 earned runs over 3 innings. He gave up 5 hits, no walks, a dinger, and struck out 3. Alejandro “Cha-Ching” Chacin pitched 1.2 scoreless, Lucas “Let’s See” Luetge pitched 2 scoreless with 2 strikeouts, and Kevin “Rusty” Shackelford struck out 4 in 2 scoreless innings to secure the win. Tony “Brenda” Renda was 2 for 4 with a triple, walk, and a RBI. Rob “Rib” Brantley was 3 for 5 with a RBI. Uncle Jesse Winker was 2 for 5 with 2 RBI, and Dilson “Baby Pickle” Herrera was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored.
Bats 5, Mud Hens 6 (F/10)
Lisalverto “Bobby” Bonilla was pretty good on Sunday, but was betrayed by the bullpen. Bonilla pitched 5.2 innings and gave up 2 earned runs. However, he struck out 8 while allowing 5 hits and 2 walks. The only relief pitcher not to give up a run was Louis “Thermos” Coleman who pitched 2 scoreless innings and struck out 1. Hernan “Munster” Iribarren was 3 for 5 with a run scored and a double, and Brandon “Mason” Dixon was 4 for 5 with a double, triple, and 3 RBI. Jesse “Blinker” Winker was 1 for 3 with a run scored, RBI, and 2 walks.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos
Wahoos 1, Lookouts 5
Keury “Yella” Mella had a start he’d rather have back. He allowed 5 earned runs over 3.2 IP (6 H, 5 BB, 2 K). “Call Me” Ismael Guillon pitched 2.1 cool scoreless innings while striking out 5, Ariel “Under The Sea” Hernandez pitched 1 scoreless with 2 strikeouts, and Jimmy “Eats” Herget also pitched a scoreless inning with 2 strikeouts. The Wahoos hit like poop in this game. 3 hits. That’s all.
Wahoos 2, Lookouts 4 (F/7)
The Wahoos played a double header because it looks like their first game of Saturday’s double header was rained out. Minor league game double headers only go 7 innings. Deck “The Halls” McGuire also struggled, but this was with keeping hitters off base. He gave up 4 earned runs over 5.2 innings, but allowed 8 hits, 1 walk, and struck out 6. Tyler “Yodel” Goeddel was 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI, and Blake “Bahrain” Trahan was 2 for 3 with a double, RBI, and a walk.
Wahoos 2, Chattanooga 3 (F/8)
Austin Ross took the start and was pretty decent. He allowed 2 runs over 7 innings (1 ER). He gave up 5 hits, walked 4, and struck out 6. Tyler “Goebbels” Goeddel propagandized a decent game at the plate with a 2 for 3, 1 RBI, and a walk line.

Tortugas 1, Hammerheads 0
So, obviously the pitching was pretty good in this one. Ty “Inflamed” Boyles pitched 5.1 shutout innings by giving up only 1 hit, 2 walks, and striking out 2. Jake “Robert” Paulson pitched 2.2 scoreless striking out 4, and Tanner “Mount” Rainey struck out the side in a scoreless ninth. Shed “Didn’t Shit To Bed” Long was 2 for 4, and Nick “Knack Patty Whack” Senzel was 2 for 4. His batting average has been slowly rising since his early season slump.
Tortugas 6, Hammerheads 3
Wendolyn Bautista pitched 4.1 innings and gave up 3 earned runs. He gave up 4 hits, 2 walks, and struck out 4. Austin “Big Brother” Orewiler pitched 1.2 scoreless with a strikeout, Robert “Rising” Stock struck out 3 in 2 scoreless, and Tanner “No” Rainey “Skies” picked up another save with a scoreless inning where he struck out 2. Reydel “Rotel” Medina was 2 for 4 wit a RBI. Nick Senzel was 1 for 3 with a walk.
Tortugas 5, Hammerheads 4
Johnny “Crawfish” Crawford took the mound and was wild. Crawford pitched 4.1 innings and gave up 4 runs, though none of them were earned, while allowing 2 hits, 4 walks, and striking out 3. Sandy “Cheeks” Lugo pitched 2.2 scoreless with two strikeouts, and Juan Martinez picked up the win by pitching 2 scoreless with a strikeout. Shed “Long Shed” Long was 2 for 4 with a run scored, and Nick “Senzational” Senzel was 3 for 4 with a 2 run dinger.

Wennington “Winnington” Romero continues to just be lights out. He pitched 6 scorles innings and allowed only 3 hits, 1 walk, and struck out 6. He has a 1.91 ERA on the year, and has been Dayton’s best starter. Andy “Randy” Cox picked up the save by pitching 3 scoreless and striking out 5. John “Say It Ain’t” Sansone was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles, a run scored, and 2 RBI. Brantley Bell was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 runs scored, and Luis “MVP” Gonzalez was 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored and a RBI.
Dragons 6, Timber Rattlers 4 (F/10)
Alex Webb started and gave up 2 runs (1 earned) over 5 innings. He allowed 4 hits, 1 walk, and struck out 3. Jesse “Refuses To” Stallings pitched 2 scoreless with a strikeout to pick up the win. John “Sandstone” Sansone hit a solo dinger. Taylor “TT” Trammell was 2 for 5 with a RBI and a run scored, Tyler “Bat Flip” Stephenson was 2 for 3 with a double and a run scored, and Brantley “Ring My” Bell was 3 for 5 with a triple, 2 RBI, and a run scored.

Andrew Jordan started the game and was pretty good. He allowed 2 earned runs over 5.1 innings. He gave up 4 hits, 1 walk, and struck out 7. Aaron “Fozzy Bear” Fossas pitched 1.2 scoreless with 3 strikeouts, and Patrick “Let’s Get” Riehl pitched 2 scoreless with a strikeout to pick up the save.
