New, 22 comments

After a slow start Nick Senzel is now batting over .300.

Louisville Bats

Bats 3, Mud Hens 4

General Jackson Stephens took the start and had one of his best starts of the year. He pitched 6 innings and gave up 2 earned runs. 4 hits were allowed with no walks and 4 strikeouts. Though, those two runs were scored on solo home runs. Tony Renda was 2 for 4 with a RBI.

Bats 8, Mud Hens 7 (F/10)

Rob “Hooter” Wooten got roughed up in his start on Saturday. He gave up 4 earned runs over 3 innings. He gave up 5 hits, no walks, a dinger, and struck out 3. Alejandro “Cha-Ching” Chacin pitched 1.2 scoreless, Lucas “Let’s See” Luetge pitched 2 scoreless with 2 strikeouts, and Kevin “Rusty” Shackelford struck out 4 in 2 scoreless innings to secure the win. Tony “Brenda” Renda was 2 for 4 with a triple, walk, and a RBI. Rob “Rib” Brantley was 3 for 5 with a RBI. Uncle Jesse Winker was 2 for 5 with 2 RBI, and Dilson “Baby Pickle” Herrera was 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored.

Bats 5, Mud Hens 6 (F/10)

Lisalverto “Bobby” Bonilla was pretty good on Sunday, but was betrayed by the bullpen. Bonilla pitched 5.2 innings and gave up 2 earned runs. However, he struck out 8 while allowing 5 hits and 2 walks. The only relief pitcher not to give up a run was Louis “Thermos” Coleman who pitched 2 scoreless innings and struck out 1. Hernan “Munster” Iribarren was 3 for 5 with a run scored and a double, and Brandon “Mason” Dixon was 4 for 5 with a double, triple, and 3 RBI. Jesse “Blinker” Winker was 1 for 3 with a run scored, RBI, and 2 walks.

Cody Reed will get the start tonight at 6:35 PM EST.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos

Wahoos 1, Lookouts 5

Keury “Yella” Mella had a start he’d rather have back. He allowed 5 earned runs over 3.2 IP (6 H, 5 BB, 2 K). “Call Me” Ismael Guillon pitched 2.1 cool scoreless innings while striking out 5, Ariel “Under The Sea” Hernandez pitched 1 scoreless with 2 strikeouts, and Jimmy “Eats” Herget also pitched a scoreless inning with 2 strikeouts. The Wahoos hit like poop in this game. 3 hits. That’s all.

Wahoos 2, Lookouts 4 (F/7)

The Wahoos played a double header because it looks like their first game of Saturday’s double header was rained out. Minor league game double headers only go 7 innings. Deck “The Halls” McGuire also struggled, but this was with keeping hitters off base. He gave up 4 earned runs over 5.2 innings, but allowed 8 hits, 1 walk, and struck out 6. Tyler “Yodel” Goeddel was 2 for 4 with a double and a RBI, and Blake “Bahrain” Trahan was 2 for 3 with a double, RBI, and a walk.

Wahoos 2, Chattanooga 3 (F/8)

Austin Ross took the start and was pretty decent. He allowed 2 runs over 7 innings (1 ER). He gave up 5 hits, walked 4, and struck out 6. Tyler “Goebbels” Goeddel propagandized a decent game at the plate with a 2 for 3, 1 RBI, and a walk line.

Tyler Mahle will take the mound at 6:35 PM CT.
