Louisville Bats 6, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre 2

Louisville exploded for 5 runs in the top of the 7th en route to a 6-2 victory on Tuesday night. “General” Jackson Stephens got the start and pitched well. He went 6 innings and gave up 1 run on 7 hits with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. Kevin “Love” Shackelford was solid in relief, giving up only 1 hit and striking out 3 in 1.1 innings. Offensively, there wasn’t a ton to write home about. The team only collected 7 hits and all were singles. Chad “Tear down this” Wallach was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and 2 runs scored and Tyler Goeddel was also 2 for 4 and had 1 RBI.

Pensacola Blue Wahoos 0, Mobile Bay Bears 3

Tyler Mahle did not pitch for the Wahoos tonight, so naturally they gave up a run. Deck “the halls” McGuire got the start and went 6 innings, giving up 3 earned runs on 4 hits with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts. Jake “Record Scratch” Ehret struck out 1 in 2 scoreless innings of relief. Eric “Deuce Bigelow Male” Jagielo was 2 for 3, Gabriel “Young Vlad” Guerrero was 1 for 4 with a triple, and Devin “Golem” Mesoraco was 1 for 3 with a walk. That’s pretty much it for the offense, as they only had 5 hits.
