Cincinnati Reds vs. Chicago Cubs
1:10 PM ET
Bronson Arroyo vs. John Lackey
John Lackey is a total butt, and the Cubs are total butts, so hopefully the Reds can take advantage of the buttiness today and avoid the sweep.
Lackey has a 4.00 ERA this year, but he butted it up with a 5.35 ERA in 4 starts against the Reds in 2016. He served up 3 home runs in his last outing against the Brewers, and then showed his butt when he gave a wink-nod answer to the press insinuating Eric Thames and PED use.
Total butt, that one.
Arroyo has gotten better through each start, though still not exactly what you’d consider good. But, if he can keep getting better, he’ll be up to 9 IP and 0 ER in, well, June or so?
The Reds will need to take this one in order to avoid their first sweep of the year. Sweeps are only fun if you’re the team doing it, so the Reds should win today, in my opinion.
