Farmers Only: Tyler Mahle Is All Rahrle Rahrle

That means he’s good, and you should be excited.

Louisville didn’t play last evening. Rob Wooten pitches at 6:35 PM EST.

Wahoos 3, Jumbo Shrimp 1

You know, since Tyler “Good Golly Miss” Mahle has been in the Reds system he has been having his cake and eating it too. I actually don’t know what the hell that phrase really means, but it’s a thing. Mahle pitched Monday night for the third time and pitched 5 innings and gave up only 1 run. He allowed 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His ERA stands at 1.02. I don’t know what to say other than the dude is awesome. Here is what the bullpen did in the final four innings: Jake “Air Rat” Ehret pitched 1 scoreless with 2 K’s, Brennan “Bernie” Bernardino pitched a scoreless inning and struck out the side, Ariel “Swims With The Fishes” Hernandez pitched a clean frame with no strikeouts, and Geoff “Ree” Broussard did exactly the same to pick up the save. Blake “Trade Hands” Trahan was 2 for 4 with a double. Gabriel Guerrero was 2 for 3 with a walk. Brian “BEEEEEEEEEEF” O’Grady hit a solo homer.

Luis Castillo climbs the hill tonight at 6:35 PM CT.

Tortugas 4, Stone Crabs 6

Wendolyn “Mandolin” Bautista pitched a decent game. He give up 3 earned runs over 5.2 innings with 5 hits allowed with 0 walks and 2 strikeouts. The relief pitching wasn’t too hot. Nick “Senzinatti” Senzel was 3 for 4 with a run scored. Shed “Go To Bed” Long was 2 for 5 with a double. Alfredo “Pasta Rod” Rodriguez was 2 for 5 with 2 runs scored. Gavin “Ain’t No” LaValley “Low Enough” was 2 for 4 and hit his 3rd dinger of the season. It was a solo shot.

Daytona will play tonight with Johnny Crawford on the mound at 7:05 PM EST.

Dragons 9, Lugnuts 13

Barn burner. Probably done by a fart. Barnfart. Wait, Tucker plays for the Reds. Tony “Centigrade” Santillian had another rough start. He went 5 innings and gave up 4 earned runs. He allowed 7 hits, 4 walks, and struck out 4. The bullpen was the equivalent of stepping in fresh cat shit on a hot and humid summer day. That relegated the Dragon’s 7-run 1st inning which kinda sucks. Tyler “Bat Flip” Stephenson was 2 for 4 with a double, RBI, run scored, and a walk. Michael “Ring My” Beltre was 1 for 3 with a 2 run dinger, 2 walks, and 2 runs scored. Considering the Dragons scored 9 runs the batting lines were pretty average. I’m not being lazy. I swear.

Dayton will play tonight with Scott Moss on the mound at 7:00 PM EST.
