Nick Travieso is the Red Reporter community’s 25th and final prospect for the 2017 Community Prospect Rankings. Travieso struggled through the first half of the season, but rebounded to post an ERA of 2.05 and 3.91 in June and July, respectively. Hopefully 2017 will be the season that Nasty Nick is able to put everything together. To finish off the voting, there are three honorable mentions (who would be #26, #27, and #28) to be added to the list. They consist of a recently-acquired bullpen piece who already has a few innings of major league experience followed by two shortstops coming off of solid years at the plate. Your honorable mentions are as-follows:

Austin Brice, RHP

Zach Vincej, SS

Blake Trahan, SS

If I learned anything from the CPR this year, it’s that our system is incredibly deep. It is interesting looking back at the 2016 rankings (we’ll address this on another day) and seeing how much has changed. To put things in perspective, Nick Travieso was tied with Alex Blandino for 7th in last year’s version of these rankings. Now, some of that change has to do with less-than-stellar performances in the first half of 2016, but it has just as much to do with the depth of the system. It certainly has me excited for the future of the franchise going forward.

Here are your final rankings:
