The Reds head back to GABP for their final home series of the season. They’ll face the Cubs, who have clinched about everything they had a chance to clinch so far this season.
The Reds will send Josh Smith to the mound, making only his second start after spending most of this season as a serviceable bullpen arm. He’ll face Jake Buchanan, who I’m sure you can admit, you’ve never heard of. He has one inning of big league work this year under his belt, and is going to be a stopgap to get the Cubs to the finish line before their real season can begin.
Go Reds.
