Reds at Cubs, Game 1: Preview and Predictions Thread

After a disappointing homestand, the Reds embark on their final road trip of the season starting tonight. They’re at Wrigley Field to face the Cubs, and their best chance to take a series lead against Jason Hammel.

Nevermind that Hammel’s won 14 games, and is a veteran amidst a staff full of experience. The Reds get Lester and Lackey in the next two, and don’t even see either of the Cubs best two pitchers in this series. The Reds have faced Hammel twice this year, and have zero runs in 12 innings, so they’ll have their work cut out for them tonight.

Tim Adleman gets the ball for Cincinnati.

Go Reds.
